Ogilvy seeks world's best salesperson
OgilvyOne Worldwide is looking for the world's greatest salesperson. Three finalists selected in the global search will be flown at the agency's expense to Cannes Lions Advertising Festival in June. In Cannes, the candidates will demonstrate their talent to a panel of ad executives. The winner of the title will be awarded a three-month fellowship with OgilvyOne.
The online competition has been launched by the agency on its YouTube page, www.youtube.com/ogilvy. Aspirants have been urged to upload videos featuring their best sales techniques.
To tweak the imagination of aspirants, OgilvyOne has uploaded, on its YouTube page, the videos of celebrated sales champs exhibiting their classic techniques. The videos will be posted on several other sites as well.
"This contest celebrates selling and creativity, and Cannes is the perfect place for this search to culminate," Brian Fetherstonhaugh, the chairman and chief executive of OgilvyOne Worldwide, has been quoted as saying.
