Pix wins rights for 'This is it'

The 2009's blockbuster 'This is it' - documentary based on Michael Jackson's concert will soon air on Pix as the English movie channel has bagged it's rights.

Sony, the channel's parent had released the film in theatres for a limited run, last year.

The movie is a compilation of interviews, rehearsals and backstage footage of Michael Jackson as he prepared for his series of sold-out shows in London just before his death.

The film has been nominated as the best documentary feature film for the Critics Choice Award. Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing; the film has reached $222.6 million in box office receipts worldwide.

Young Hollywood is the theme for the channel and this year the channel will have a mixture of good blockbusters and other world cinema movies that are not that commonly available.
