Sabina Solomon quits as MRUC GM: Reports

It has been reported that Sabina Solomon resigned, a week ago, from her position as the general manager of the Media Research Users Council (MRUC), in which media owners, advertisers, and agencies have representation.

Although media reports indicate that a MRUC member has confirmed Solomon's resignation, there has been no word about her successor yet. The reasons for her departure are not known either.

Solomon had assumed the general manager's role at MRUC after NP Sathyamurthy (currently with Lintas Media Group) vacated the post to join Carat Media. Before her MRUC stint, Solomon ' who has a Master's degree in marketing from Mumbai's Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management ' has been associated with agencies such as Carat Media.

In 2003, after becoming a consultant, she worked with advertising agencies such as Law and Kenneth, and AMO. She began her career in the direct marketing space and went on to co-found DataBasics, a direct marketing agency, which later merged with DIREM Marketing Services.
