Sahira Nair elevated to Head of Hindi Scripted Series at Prime Video India
Sahira Nair has been elevated as the Head of Hindi Scripted Series at Prime Video India. She announced the same in a Linkedin post where she wrote: "Super excited to take on the role of Head of Hindi Scripted Series, Prime Video India. Narrating stories has always been my passion and Prime Video has helped me give shape to some of the most loved stories like Mirzapur, The Family Man, Bandish Bandits, Jubilee and many more, that are watched by customers around the world. Looking forward to developing many more worlds and characters, and creating more iconic franchises in my new role."
Prior to this, she was the Head of Hindi Franchise Series at the organisation which she joined in 2019 as a Creative executive leading scripted original series.
She has started her career as a Production Assistant at HBO for The Sopranos season 6. She is a graduate from the School of Visual Arts, NYC and has been a part of the production team behind some well-known series such as Gossip Girls, and CSI New York. She served as an Assistant Director on films like Darjeeling Limited, The Good Shepherd, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. She has also worked as creative executive at Epic TV, Discovery and MX Player.
