Sajith Sivanandan joins Jio Platforms as President of Jio Mobile Digital Services

Sajith Sivanandan, former CEO of Disney+ Hotstar, has joined Jio Platforms as President of Jio Mobile Digital Services.

He officially took on the role in January 2025, as indicated on his LinkedIn profile. At Jio, he will focus on scaling a suite of AI-driven digital services for Jio Mobile.

Before this, Sivanandan led Disney+ Hotstar for over two years, managing strategy, growth, product development, and the platform’s P&L in India. His leadership spanned functions like ad sales, growth, partnerships, analytics, product management, engineering, UX, marketing, content, customer service, HR, legal, and policy.

Earlier, Sivanandan spent 15 years at Google, where he last served as Managing Director and Business Head for Google Pay and Next Billion User Initiatives across Asia Pacific.
