Sandeep Sangwan becomes Global CMO, Castrol
Sandeep Sangwan, formerly the Managing Director at Castrol India Limited, has been appointed as the Global Chief Marketing Officer for the automotive and industrial lubricants company. The announcement was made by Global CEO Michelle Jou via a LinkedIn post, where she also introduced Kedar Lele as the new India MD.
Sangwan, who led Castrol India since January 2020, joined BP p.l.c. in April 2012 and has held several significant leadership roles across Europe, Asia, and Africa. He will move to the UK to fill the position previously held by Nicola Buck, who will now assume a broader marketing role within BP.
Before joining Castrol, he spent over 20 years at Gillette and Procter & Gamble (P&G), managing roles in India, the Middle East, China, and Europe with a focus on sales, marketing, and P&L responsibilities.
Sangwan is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow and the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra. Lele, who recently assumed the role of India MD, brings extensive experience from his time at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL).
