Sheryl Sandberg Backs Bengaluru's Simplismart in $7M Funding Round Led by Accel

Simplismart, a Bengaluru-based generative AI (GenAI) startup, has secured additional funding from former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg, marking her second investment in the company, as reported by media. Sandberg participated in a $7-million funding round led by Accel.

Founded in 2022 by Amritanshu Jain and Devansh Ghatak, Simplismart is developing a machine learning platform that enables the creation of custom models for new applications without writing any code. According to Tracxn, the startup has raised a total of $7.14 million across two funding rounds, with the latest seed round held in July valuing the company at $1.54 million post-money. An Entrackr report suggests that the company could reach a valuation of $35 million after the latest round.

Simplismart has six major investors, including Accel, Anicut Capital, and Titan Capital, and operates in the B2B segment, competing with companies like Veritone, Comet, and DataRobot.
