Shubhranshu Das takes over as Nielsen's regional head

The New York-headquartered Nielsen Company, which operates in over 100 countries, has appointed Shubhranshu Das as the regional head of its New Global Financial Services Practice in South Asia.

The Nielsen Company holds the market-leadership position in gathering intelligence about market and consumer behaviour, and in measuring media impact. The company's expertise also includes online intelligence, mobile measurement, trade shows, and business publications.

As for Das, his career comprises an experience of more than 20 years in marketing, advertising, and market research. Before joining Nielsen in 2008, he has worked for companies such as Wipro Ltd, Siemens Telecom, SRF Ltd, and Contract Advertising.

In the market-research field, Das has worked in a range of areas, including B2B, retail and consumer products, with services sectors (like telecom and finance) being the focus of special concern.
