TV this week: A visible upswing in Sony & SAB GRPs this week
Star Plus, Zee TV and Colors continue to be the top three Hindi GECs in Week 13 (March 24 – 30) of TAM 2013 and have maintained consistent GRPs this week too . A significant rise is noticeable in the GRPs registered by Sony which is presently at no.4 ,while SAB TV and Life OK are at no.5 and no. 6 respectively in week 13, 2013.
Among fiction shows, Chanchan, the new offering from Sony TV opened at an average rating of 1.4 TVR while the premiere of ‘Talaash’ starring Aamir Khan bagged a rating of 2.3 TVR for the channel according to viewership data sourced from TAM subscribers for the CS 4+, HSM markets,
Being a festive week there were special programmes which centred around Holi on the different GECs . SSLK Holi event on Zee TV garnered 3.5 TVR while the special programming on SAB TV fetched 3.1 TVR. Star Guild Awards on Star Plus and Femina Miss India on Colors were the two events that featured in Week 13 . The former fetched 3.7 TVR while the latter garnered 0.8 TVR.
Star Plus garnered 291 GRPs this week , the same as last week ratings. The channel has been able to sustain the ratings on the back of the Star Guild Awards that was aired in Week 13.
Zee TV too has registered the same ratings as last week. The channel garnered 207 GRPs (last week 207).
The fiction shows on Colors have recorded lowest ratings this week but the special events and programming has helped the channel to stay afloat and sustain their ratings . The channel garnered 191 GRPs this week as against last week’s 192 GRPs.
Sony Entertainment Television fetched 175 GRPs in Week 13 and have taken a leap of 20 points from last weeks 155 GRPs.
SAB TV too has jumped 17 points on the back of their special Holi programming. The channel has garnered 159 GRPs (last week 142).
Life OK has dipped by 9 points to garner 119 GRPs as against last week’s 128 GRPs.
Star Utsav garnered 51 GRPs (last week 54).
Sahara One has fetched 22 GRPs this week (last week 24 GRPs)
Not much has changed where ratings of the most watched shows is concerned. Diya Aur Baati Hum continues to remain the number one show with 4.6 TVR. Pyaar Ka Dard and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah share the second place with 3.6 TVR while, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has taken the third position with 3.5 TVR.
