Twitter hacked by Iranian Cyber Army

Twitter has faced its latest onslaught of hacksters- this time in the form of the Iranian Cyber Army- who denigrate the American monopoly of the internet and up the ante for themselves. They have placed the US in a state of " embargo", the political connotations of which hinge in the real world scenario.

Twitter's Domian News System has been compromised by the hacksters and attempts are underway to normalize the situation. Twitter was previously used by the Iranian opposition to garner sentiment against the controversial re-election of Ahmadedinjad as president of Iran and was used by Iran to monitor attacks and security. It was even displayed as a tool for Israel to downplay Iran.

Majwcamp.org, an Iranian website external to Iran has also been hacked, suggesting the work of the opposition in Iran.

Twitter has been troubled by hacksters in the recent past: a hackster handed TechCruch a series of revenue predictions and in January fake messages were planted on 33 twitter accounts, including those of FoxNews, Obama and Britney Spears.

Phishing is also a regular threat to Twitter.
