UEFA Europa League live on Ten Sports

Top flight European football action continues on Ten Sports with some mouth-watering clashes from the last 16 stage of the UEFA Europa League.

Spurred on by their best ever European showing this season Fulham travel to Juventus hoping to continue their dramatic run under coach Roy Hodgson. Hodgson has previously coached in Italy including a stint with Inter Milan and he will have to use all this experience to outwit the Old Lady in Turin. The manager of the London side has been credited with the dramatic turnaround in their fortunes since taking over the club in December 2007 when they were battling relegation. Hodgson recently received plaudits from Spurs boss Harry Redknapp who praised the achievement of Fulham hailing their win over defending Europa Cup champions Shakhtar Donetsk as one of the best results this season.

On the other hand Juventus have to contend with some injury worries with striker Amauri ruled out of action for three to four weeks. He joins Gianluigi Buffon on the sidelines, with the Italy goalkeeper set to be out for a month after also suffering a thigh injury. But the Bianconeri have been lifted by their recent 2-1 win against Fiorentina in the Serie A. The victory helped them move to fifth in the table, two points behind Palermo. Skipper Alessandro del Piero hailed the victory saying that it would spur them to get into winning ways in future matches including the crucial Europa Cup clash.

Liverpool will travel to Lille Métropole for the first chapter of their round of 16 tie fully aware that the Ligue 1 club have lost just one of their last 16 European home games. Liverpool did not have the best of preparations for this game suffering a 1-0 defeat against Wigan in the English Premier League. A ninth Premiership defeat in 29 matches leaves them with an uphill struggle to qualify for the Champions League. Rafa Benitez's side are now in sixth and have played one more game than 4th placed Tottenham, with Rafa Benitez's side a point behind fourth-placed Tottenham, who have a game in hand.

Liverpool and Lille have never met in European football before, but the English club should take heart in the fact that they are unbeaten in their last five competitive matches in France, winning four and drawing just one. They should also be spurred by the availability of both Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres for the game.

Meanwhile crossing swords with Liverpool in the Europa League is one of the most eagerly anticipated clashes of the season for les Douges. According to their coach Rudi Garcia, the incentive of a Europa League tie against Liverpool was part of the reason his players were able to rally late against the Turkish side Fenerbahce. A strike from Adil Rami with just five minutes of time remaining gave them a 1-1 draw at Istanbul and a 3-2 success on aggregate. Lille lie fourth in the France Ligue 1 after they drew 1-1 with St Etienne.
