Viacom18 broadens Mahesh Shetty's role to oversee sales on TV & digital platforms
Mahesh Shetty, currently the Head of Network Sales at Viacom18, has expanded his role to encompass leadership in sales across both TV and digital platforms, now also overseeing sales for JioCinema. Since joining Viacom18 in April 2019, Shetty has steered the network's revenue strategies across diverse verticals including Hindi GEC, Movies, Regional Entertainment, Kids Entertainment, Youth, Music, and English Entertainment. Additionally, he leads Viacom18 LIVE and Viacom18 Consumer Products licensing business units.
Prior to Viacom18, Shetty spent 12.5 years at Radio Mirchi, playing a pivotal role in expanding Mirchi's footprint in India's competitive private FM landscape. Beginning as VP and cluster head of Tamil Nadu for Mirchi's 7-station network, he advanced through various roles to eventually serve as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing a 76-station network.
Before Radio Mirchi, Shetty had a successful decade-long tenure at PepsiCo International, where he held multiple sales and marketing positions across different markets. In his final role as General Manager of Premise Sales, he managed OnPremises & Modern Trade sales channels for India, alongside key national customer relationships.
