Viacom18 ropes in 13 streaming sponsors for IPL
The Indian Premier League 2023 will begin on March 31, 2023. According to reports, Viacom18, the company with the digital rights to stream IPL 2023, has signed about 13 sponsors.
Among the sponsors are ITC, Dream11, Parle, TVS, Puma, , Pepsi, and so on. Additionally, Viacom18 has managed sponsorships with brands from various sectors, such as e-commerce and four-wheeler companies.
While Viacom18 is organising the game's screening through JioCinema, it has also brought in other spot buyers, says the report. The IPL's live streaming is expected to feature ' advertising by close to 500 brands. At present, the sponsorship and ad deals closed by Viacom18 reportedly amount to almost Rs 2,700 crore.
In IPL 2023, Chennai Super Kings are expected to play last-time champions Gujarat Titans (CSK vs GT) in a lavish matchup. As the Women's Premier League (WPL) has also started its debut edition; the IPL 2023 will be played afterward. Similarly, thank to the hype surrounding IPL 2023, even the auctions of players attracted a lot of attention.
