Vijay Rawat appointed CEO of Katori Food Pvt. Ltd

Katori Food Pvt. Ltd, a Sakhi initiative funded by Hindustan Zinc Ltd. and implemented by Manjari Foundation, has appointed Vijay Rawat as its new Chief Executive Officer. With a strong background in journalism and a dedication to social impact, Vijay brings extensive expertise to this critical leadership role.

Vijay's journey to this position is marked by a successful career in the media industry, including his role as Senior Multimedia Head at Zee News.
Over the last 18 months, he transitioned into the social sector, serving as Head of Communication at the Manjari Foundation. The foundation, led by Sanjay Kumar, a Ford Foundation fellow, focuses on empowering women in rural areas of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand by helping them establish microenterprises. The products created by these women are sold under the Katori brand, allowing them to achieve financial independence and market recognition.

In his new capacity as CEO, Vijay will continue to lead communication efforts at the Manjari Foundation while steering Katori Food in its mission to create sustainable economic opportunities for rural women.

Vijay Rawat’s professional experience includes working as Senior Associate Editor at Bluecraft Digital Foundation, where he contributed to policy research and was involved in key initiatives like Prime Minister Modi’s "Mann Ki Baat" and the "Exam Warriors" book. He also held leadership roles in output teams at Jan Sandesh, India News Haryana, India TV, and TV9’s Bollywood channel, Lehren.
