WhatsApp rolls out message editing feature on Windows beta

WhatsApp, a messaging platform owned by Meta, is introducing a message editing feature on its Windows beta version. According to the reports, beta users will now have the option to edit text messages by accessing an edit action in the message menu. However, this editing capability is limited to messages sent within the past 15 minutes and cannot be applied to messages sent from a different device. This feature will be particularly useful for correcting typos or inaccurate information caused by fast typing or autocorrect. Initially, the message editing feature is accessible to a select group of beta testers who install the latest WhatsApp beta for Windows update. It is expected to be gradually rolled out to more users in the coming days. Meta's founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, had previously announced the introduction of this editing feature. Additionally, WhatsApp recently implemented a new crop tool for the drawing editor on Windows beta, allowing users to conveniently edit and crop images within the app.
