Woodland explores more and plans to go global

One of the leading Indian footwear and apparel brand Woodland is all set to open exclusive single-brand retail outlets in some of the cities in international market like Middle East, South-East Asia and Sri Lanka.

According to media reports the brand is in the process of selecting local franchise associates and the brand will have 3-4 outlets open in these markets by the end of the year. The brand is taking a franchise route to spread its wing as different countries have different retail business investment rules.

The brand is already present in more than 600 multi-brand stores in Middle East, Singapore and Thailand. Company's managing director Harkirat Singh was quotes saying, "We will go ahead slowly taking one step at a time to expand our exclusive retail presence, while continuing to grow in multi- branded stores."

The brand in India has 350 exclusive stores and is present in over 3,000 multi-branded outlets.
