Worldwide Media to launch "Home Trends' magazine in May

Worldwide Media will launch, in May, "Home Trends'” a premium magazine that caters to architecture and interior design professionals. "We believe that "Home Trends' will also be picked up by a lot of passionate home owners who want to do up their apartments and houses," Anupama Bhalla, brand publisher for "Home Trends', told Adgully. "The magazine's editions in other countries enjoy a considerable following in this segment. The magazine has a presence in 11 other countries, including Australia, USA, China, Hong Kong, and New Zealand."

As for the magazine's prospects, Ms. Bhalla said that with the real estate market picking up in India, interest had returned to this space. "New projects are being launched, people are buying apartments once again," she said. "It was, therefore, a great time to launch a magazine targeting professionals in this space who are looking for ideas from around the world and India."

The promotion of the magazine will be carefully calibrated, Ms. Bhalla said. "Considering the niche nature of the product, it will be available selectively and will be advertised selectively," she said. "While we will use magazines, TOI, ET, trade journals for advertising, a larger focus will be to talk directly to design institutes and firms. The focus will also be on selective and relevant POS at premium sale outlets, web, and e-mailers."

Priti Singh has been appointed as the editor of the magazine.
