ZEE5 announces ott premiere of Tamil gem Thiru Manickam on January 24

ZEE5, India’s largest home-grown video streaming platform and a multilingual storyteller, today announced the OTT premiere of Thiru Manickam, a Tamil family blockbuster set to launch on 24th January 2025. Following the success of family dramas like Aindham Vedham, Raghuthatha, and Demonte Colony 2, ZEE5 is back again with this emotional thriller, which has already been hailed as a 'Gem of Tamil Cinema' and one of the 'Most Underrated Movies' of 2024. Directed by Nandha Periyasamy, Thiru Manickam stars Samuthirakani in the lead role along with Ananya, Bharathiraja, and Jaseena in the prominent roles. It is produced by G.P. Ravi Kumar, Chintha Gopala Krishna Reddy, and Raja Senthil under the banner of GPRK Cinemas. The film explores the journey of a man who, despite facing overwhelming opposition for doing good, shows how humanity ultimately wins. Originally available in Tamil, the film will also be available in Kannada and Malayalam dubbed versions starting 24th January.

Thiru Manickam follows Manikkam (Samuthirakani), a lottery shop owner who finds a winning ticket worth 1.5 crore and sets out to return it, torn between doing the right thing and the lure of wealth. His noble act sparks a series of challenges, exposing cracks in his family and the corruption in society. As opposition mounts, Manikkam must confront the true cost of his integrity and decide whether to uphold his morals or give in to temptation.
