Chun Yin Mak Resigns from Dentsu China

Chun Yin Mak, the former President of Customer Experience Management Practice / Merkle Asia Pacific at dentsu China, has announced his departure from the company. After leading dentsu China for over a year, Mak is stepping down from his role.

In a LinkedIn post, Mak expressed satisfaction with the progress made during his tenure, stating that he had successfully transformed the China business into a competitive and future-ready model. He praised his successor, a long-term industry veteran, and expressed gratitude for the fulfilling experiences during his time at dentsu. He said, "13 months ago, I joined dentsu with a clear mandate to oversee the transition of the China business into a competitive, future-ready model, establishing a trajectory of future growth and success. With that now achieved, I am proud and happy to hand over leadership of this successfully-transformed business to a long-term industry, dentsu and local veteran, for whom I have the utmost respect. I reflect upon this last one year and it has been one of the most interesting and high-growth periods throughout my professional career. It was intense, exciting, humbling, sometimes difficult, but always positive, fulfilling and ultimately very rewarding."

Prior to joining dentsu, Mak had a long career at IBM, spanning over 16 years. He also held positions at Accenture. With over 25 years of experience in leadership and management roles, Mak has made significant contributions to the consulting, media, advertising, creative, and communications industries across North America, Asia Pacific, and Greater China.
