Dentsu Appoints Brett Elliott as Chief Operating Officer – Media

Dentsu has named Brett Elliott as its Chief Operating Officer – Media, a newly created role aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies and driving client success across its media agency brands—Carat, iProspect, and dentsuX.

Elliott brings extensive industry experience, having previously served as Investment Head and Lead at MediaCom, where he played a key role in business growth before transitioning to General Manager. Most recently, he led UM as Managing Director, overseeing the Australian Federal Government media account.

Based in Melbourne, Elliott will spearhead dentsu’s media agency operations, focusing on future-ready excellence by integrating cutting-edge technology and talent to elevate client outcomes across the three brands.

Announcing his move on LinkedIn, Elliott shared: “After an incredibly rewarding 6.5 years at UM, it’s time for a new challenge. It has been a privilege to lead the Australian Government and ACT Government business with a brilliant team and clients that have achieved so much. I’m so thankful for the opportunity and more to say on that later. In the meantime, I’m really excited to be joining dentsu in the coming months and can’t wait to get started!”
