Dan Neary Bids Farewell to Meta After 12 Years, Plans Next Adventure

Dan Neary, Vice President of Asia Pacific at Meta, has announced his departure from the company after a 12-year tenure. Overseeing Meta’s business across the APAC region, Neary played a key role in driving growth and partnerships.

In a LinkedIn post, he reflected on his journey, calling it an "incredible run" and expressing gratitude to Meta’s leadership, particularly Nicola Mendelsohn CBE and Carolyn Everson, for their unwavering support. He stated that he will remain for a few more months to facilitate a smooth leadership transition.

“Working at such a remarkable company has been an absolute privilege,” Neary shared. “I’m grateful to have collaborated with some of the most talented minds in tech—both colleagues and partners. Growth comes from surrounding yourself with intelligent people and embracing new challenges, and I’ve been fortunate to experience both at Meta.”

Neary described his time at Meta as “the ride of a lifetime” and expressed pride in the team’s accomplishments, emphasizing how Meta’s products have supported clients, partners, and economies. Looking ahead, he plans to take some time off with family before exploring new opportunities.

Before joining Meta, Neary held leadership roles at Skype, eBay, and other global tech firms.
