Meta introduces new feature to turn off comments on Facebook & Instagram
A new feature has been introduced by Meta allowing advertisers to disable comments on their ads in Facebook and Instagram. Currently a limited number of brands have access to this new feature. The objective of the new feature is to allow brands to have advanced control over the interactions and engagements with their ads on the social media platforms, steering away from negative criticism.
In a blog post, Meta wrote: "“We know it’s important for businesses to have control over how their ads appear across Facebook and Instagram, which is why we’ve spent years investing in brand safety and suitability tools across our platforms. We understand this functionality can be important for brands when running sensitive campaigns or during periods of heightened sensitivity, Comment controls are currently available to a limited number of businesses, and we will continue to test and iterate on this functionality and its availability."
