EssenceMediacom to lead Max streaming service launch in Australia

EssenceMediacom has been appointed by Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) to spearhead the launch of the Max streaming service in Australia. The agency will be responsible for a comprehensive range of media services, including strategy, planning, implementation, and measurement. Additionally, EssenceMediacom will collaborate with WBD's internal team to optimize performance across biddable channels.
Max, set to debut early this year, is poised to compete with streaming giants like Netflix and Stan. The platform boasts a diverse content library, encompassing HBO, Harry Potter, the DC Universe, and the Cartoon Network.

Pippa Berlocher, CEO of EssenceMediacom Australia and New Zealand, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting WBD's influential role in shaping popular culture. "We’re looking forward to helping them breakthrough and bring it to life locally in a uniquely Aussie way," Berlocher said.
Sasha Mackie, WBD's Senior Director of Marketing ANZ, emphasized the need for a media agency capable of effectively promoting Max's premium content library.
This appointment marks a significant win for EssenceMediacom, following recent successes with clients such as Specsavers and Uber.
