Ex-Open AI CTO Mira Murati in talks to raise capital for new AI venture

Mira Murati, former Chief Technology Officer, Open AI is in talks to raise funds from venture capitalists for the new AI startup founded by her as per sources. It is still not disclosed if she will be the CEO of the company.

 Murati has served in Open AI for more than a period of six years leading projects such as DALL - E, Chat GPT. This new AI startup has the objective of building AI products that are supported by proprietary models.

Reportedly the discussions for raising funds are in the initial stages and according to sources, the latest venture by Murati can raise more than $100 million. Another Open AI employee who left the organisation in September can join her in the new venture.

Murati has resigned from Open AI in late September, marking yet another high profile exit from the organisation.
