Godrej Vikhroli Cucina celebrates Children’s Day with Chef Amrita

This Children’s Day, Godrej Vikhroli Cucina, the owned media platform of the Godrej Industries Group (GIG), joins hands with celebrity Chef Amrita Raichand to honor India's culinary heritage through a heartfelt campaign. Encouraging parents to revive traditional flavors in their children's meals, the initiative reflects themes from the Godrej Food Trends Report 2024 (GFTR’24), focusing on the origins and significance of Indian ingredients.
Amid a landscape dominated by global snack trends, Chef Amrita Raichand playfully asks, “Pizza banaya toh cool? Paratha banaya toh uncool?” With her signature humor, she encourages parents to embrace the timeless appeal of culturally rich foods, like parathas and paneer, instead of trends that may lack depth and nutrition.

Central to the campaign is Chef Amrita’s #CoolKids Paneer Parathas, a video recipe that highlights wholesome, heritage-inspired ingredients such as Godrej Jersey Ghee and Godrej Jersey Paneer. Chef Amrita emphasizes the nutritional benefits and cultural value of these foods, showcasing how traditional recipes can still be “cool” and meaningful. With humour, she challenges modern food myths: “Butter hai toh cool? Ghee use karo toh uncool?” Her recipe process underscores the value of care in cooking, as she kneads dough and seasons paneer, urging parents to reconnect with recipes that transcend trends.
Sujit Patil, Chief Communications Officer, Corporate Brand and Communications, Godrej Industries Group, expressed: “Children’s Day is about celebrating childhood and the values that shape it. This campaign aims to inspire families to reconnect with the food traditions that define their heritage. At Godrej Vikhroli Cucina, we believe that these culinary stories are timeless and offer families a way to nurture love and memories with every bite.”
Chef Amrita Raichand added:“As a mother and chef, I understand the appeal of modern-day convenience foods, but the connection we feel to our roots through traditional meals is invaluable. My hope is to show families that these recipes are not only delicious and nourishing but also filled with love, culture, and meaning.”
Join Godrej Vikhroli Cucina and Chef Amrita Raichand in celebrating Children’s Day with the timeless flavors that make every kitchen—and every childhood—special.
