Goodby appointed lead agency for Yahoo! in US

Yahoo!, as reported by Adgully a few days back, has set a budget of $100 million for a global campaign to promote the new, young and exciting face of the media player. The "It's Y!ou" campaign is handled by Ogilvy & Mather.

Yahoo! has roped in Goodby, Silverstein & Partners to function along with Ogilvy & Mather. The Omnicom Group owned agency will take up the responsibility towards handling Yahoo's creative, advertising, digital marketing and strategy planning modules.

This move is, however, restricted to the US operations. Goodby will spearhead the operations in US while WPP's Ogilvy and its subsidiary OgilvyOne will promote the campaign in the overseas markets.
