Google looks for 3G prospects in India

The world's largest search engine Google is looking for 3G prospects in India.

The web giant is looking a broadband wireless access, or BWA, in the country. It is alleged that the company might participate in the in the auction with an Indian partner.

As an alternative, Google could be just a technology partner to a telecom service provider. Foreign companies can buy up to 74 per cent equity in such a venture.
