Google unveils new AI tools to help retailers deepen shopper connections
Google is giving retailers a boost with a suite of new AI-powered tools designed to create a more engaging and effective shopping experience for consumers.
Announced at Google Marketing Live, these innovations aim to bridge the gap between brands and shoppers in a crowded online marketplace.
Visual Brand Profiles
Knowing that over 40% of shopping queries on Google Search mention a specific brand, Google is introducing visual brand profiles. These profiles will act as a one-stop shop for shoppers, showcasing a retailer's brand identity with rich content. Think engaging product images and brand videos alongside customer reviews – all curated in a convenient location on Search. Additionally, these profiles will feature current deals, promotions, and shipping policies, providing transparency and streamlining the shopping journey.
Effortless Content Creation with Product Studio
Product Studio, a platform for AI-powered content creation, is getting an upgrade. Now available in more regions, Product Studio empowers retailers to create high-quality content with minimal effort. A key highlight is the ability to generate product images that perfectly match a brand's existing style. Simply provide a reference image and a brief description, and Product Studio will do the rest, creating campaign-ready content that reinforces brand identity. But that's not all - Product Studio can now breathe life into static images by generating short videos and product GIFs, perfect for capturing attention on social media.
Bringing Ads to Life with Generative AI
Google is taking shopping ads to the next level with three new AI-powered formats:
Short-form product videos: Connect your brand's short product videos or those from creators directly to your ads. This allows shoppers to see products in action, get styling tips, and discover related items, all within the ad itself. AI-powered summaries will also be displayed, highlighting key product details for informed decision-making.
Virtual Try-On in apparel ads: This popular feature is expanding to include men's and women's tops. Shoppers can now see how clothes look on a variety of body types, boosting confidence and increasing the likelihood of a purchase.
3D shoe spins: Gone are the days of static shoe images. Google's AI can now generate a 360-degree view of footwear from a set of still images. This allows shoppers to virtually examine shoes from all angles, creating a more immersive and engaging shopping experience.
By empowering retailers to create high-quality content, showcase their brand identity, and leverage the power of AI for interactive ads, Google's new tools aim to foster deeper connections between brands and shoppers, ultimately leading to a more successful online shopping experience.
