Hindi-Daily 'National Duniya' hits the news stand in Delhi - NCR

Hindi-Daily 'National Duniya', a newly launched national language newspaper is launched by SB Media Group on March 30, 2012. The daily started with a estimated circulation of 100,000 copies in Delhi - NCR. It's the first time that any new title has started with such a large circulation, as claimed by the publishers.

Debabrata Mishra and Alok Mehta confirms the news to Adgully and spoke about the plans for National Duniya. Sources suggest that the whole editorial and circulation team of one of the leading Hindia News Daily, Nai Dunia has shifted to National Duniya. Alok Mehta is the Chief Editor, National Duniya; Madhusudan Anand also joined the new group as National Editor. Madhusudan Anand and Alok Mehta have a rich experience of 40 years in Hindi Media. Debabrata Mishra will be heading the Sales, marketing and brand communication in National Duniya.

With a vision to cater to common people Maharana Pratap Group Institution's Secretary, Shailendra Bhadauria came on board as the MD. Bhadauria strongly feels that to gain a strong connect with the customers the hawkers should be treated well as they are the ones who make the connection between a newspaper and its reader.

Mishra says, "We will go all out in terms of numbers in Delhi and NCR with large scale sales drive. There will be lot of reader connect activities in the coming months. There is still huge scope for genuine and honest Hindi daily in Delhi and NCR market."

As far as target audience is concerned National Duniya wants to target and cater to everyone whether its youth, women or adults or people of older generation.

The newspaper is full of career oriented news, health news, daily news of course and much more. Mehta told us that there are different supplements being carried on National Duniya every day except on Sunday. The supplement targeting women is called, "hamjoli', on health they have "kaya kulp', and then they also have a supplement covering metros which will be called "metro colour' which will be distributed for 3 days a week and will be full of all entertainment news, culture and music mews. Also one supplement would be on cinema called Rangoli. On Sunday a 48-page magazine full of current affairs and infotainment will be circulated with the newspaper without any extra charge.

As far as promotions are concerned the publication seems to be leaving no stone unturned. Advertisements on Television, hoardings, pamphlets Delhi/ NCR, promotional activities in schools and colleges, commercials on Radio and much more, National Duniya is creating a huge buzz to make its presence felt. Mehta says, "There will be huge advertisements splash all over. There are advertisements on news channels like IBN 7 and we have been giving commercials on radio as well. In my career of journalism I have not seen any Hindi newspaper up till now that has advertised the way we are doing it. "

The newspaper's cover price is of Rs 3.50 paisa and is already available on stands. Looking at their aggressive stance and pace from day One, National Duniya it seems will go a long way and we at Adgully wish the entire team of National Duniya a stupendous success. Also to announce its launch and create a strong connect, Twenty One Thousand Hawkers will be distributed packets of "LADDOOS' this week on the auspicious occasion of Puja and Hanuman Jayanti.
