Karan Johar to host Indian version of US show ‘Traitors’?

The Indian version of American reality show, ‘Traitors’, will reportedly launch soon. Karan Johar is said to be hosting the psychological adventure game show, which is slated to be streamed on Amazon Prime. As per industry buzz, the makers of the show have already started approaching a variety of celebrities from different fields.

As per the format of the show, the host has to select the group of contestants, who in turn will perform different tasks. Those contestants who manage to complete the tasks will survive. It is somewhat on the lines of a Mafia game played in parties, where faithful ones get eliminated by traitors.

The format has been created by BBC and it has been running successfully in different countries and has been revived for next seasons. Although there has not been any official announcement about its Hindi version, it is said that the show will feature contestants like Anshula Kapoor, Sudhanshu Pandey, Karan Kundra and others.

This show has some similarities with ‘Bigg Boss’ hosted by Salman Khan, which is about to bring its 18th season next month.

Karan Johar has hosted his famous chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ and ‘Bigg Boss’s OTT version in the past, although he is yet to confirm being a part of ‘Traitors’. It would be interesting to see him take up this opportunity to host a new format.
