Lady luck smiles on ad industry: TAM
After a strong global meltdown, which hit the advertising industry quite badly, now seems to diminish.
According to the latest report by TAM, 2009 registered the highest number of brands advertised compared to the previous years - up 11 per cent from the previous year and a huge 20 per cent from 2005 levels.
Reports sugget that the previous high was in 2007, which was 13 per cent more than that in 2005. The number of advertisers in 2009, too, saw a seven per cent increase over the previous year.
The study also shows that the increase has been around 16 per cent and compared to the 2005 levels the increase is a whopping 41 per cent.
TAM reports say that the the year 2009 also saw an increase in the average number of ads.
