Madison India funds Net4India for 15 crores

A big chunk in the Indian hosting segment, Madison India has invested 15 cores in Net4India, acquiring shares equal to 9% of Net4India's equity capital at a 40% of its 2008 high.

Net4India serves Indian corporates with data content and boasts data content centers, VOIP's, website hosting, functional corporate email domains and domain registration. It is an accredited ICANN Indian domain registrar, and owns seven data centers.

Foreign hosting providers- Rockspace, Network Solutions and Akumaia- to name a few -constantly attract Indian clients with their efficiency and reliability; Net4India suffers from a dearth of footfall and has been trying to attract SME's at lower rates.

Nonetheless, many in India are now turning to Indian hosting providers in order to reduce the ping time it takes their data to reach local audiences and to foster the country's ratings as a hosting service provider on the global map.
