Manoj Menon joins Bloomberg UTV as Sr. Vice President

Bloomberg UTV has been abuzz with activity in recent months. The channel has had some high level inductions in the last few quarters. The most recent addition to the team is Manoj Menon who joins as the Senior Vice President of AdSales. Menon assumed his role from September 20 and will be based out of Mumbai, reporting directly to Deepak Lamba, Business Head.

At Bloomberg UTV, Menon will be responsible for enhancing the channel's revenue, capitalizing on the recent boost in programming and branding. Menon was last with STAR Movies & Star World where he was the Channel Head of Ad Sales.

Commenting on this development, Deepak Lamba, Business Head ' Bloomberg UTV said "Manoj is vastly experienced in selling various genres of media, and has interacted with a cross section of clients. I'm confident that under his leadership, we'll ensure that our adsales team is "best-in-class' and able to meet the challenges of the Business News market"

Manoj has over 17 years of experience in Advertising Sales of which he spent the last 11 years with STAR India with various channels across STAR NETWORK since August 1999 across offices.

The alliance between Bloomberg and UTV was announced late last year followed by some high level appointments across the group. In June this year the newly formed Bloomberg UTV was repositioned as the "Blunt. And Sharp" business news channel catering to the growth aspirer community with a fresh and unique new programming approach which saw the launch of reality shows like The Pitch and The Assignment and a series of feature properties like The Date, Smart Money and others. The markets and financial programming have seen some breakthrough formats with shows like Top Midcap Picks, Financial Planner and World Street.
