McCann bags General Motors India account

In a latest development, McCann Erickson has won the account of General Motors (GM) after three month long pitch participation. The battle was being fought by three agencies which included McCann Erickson, Le Burnett and Contract Advertising.

Leo Burnett and Wieden+Kennedy are the present agencies for GM. And the media agency continues to be Madison Media. The account will be handled by the agency's Delhi office.

However the size of the account remains unclear. A senior official from General Motors have confirmed this development.

According to reports, McCann will handle all the brands from the company like Chevrolet Spark, Beat, Aveo, Optra Magnum, Tavera, Captiva and Cruze. There are also talks of GM launching six new products in the near future.
