Omnicom Media Group wins Michelin's Global media account
Omnicom Media Group has been awarded Michelin's global media account, valued at $89.5 million. Michelin, a renowned tire manufacturer, has consistently held the top spot as the world's most valuable tire brand for seven consecutive years, according to Brand Finance. Despite market challenges and decreased sales, Michelin's brand value remains steady at USD 7.9 billion.
Michelin's strong brand reputation is reflected in its Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 85.6, the highest among tire brands. While its BSI score has slightly declined due to lower-than-expected revenue, Michelin excels in brand familiarity, recommendation, and price acceptance, particularly in its home market.
Bridgestone and Continental Tires have moved up the rankings, with brand value increases of 13% and 8%, respectively. Bridgestone's brand value has reached USD 7.6 billion, narrowing the gap with Michelin to just USD 254 million.
