Pradeep Hejmadi quits TAM; joins Zee TV!

It seems that this could be called as the 'quitting season' in the media industry! In another news of industry movement, Pardeep Hejmadi, Sr. VP, TAM Media Research has quit TAM and joined Zee TV.

Source close to the development have confirmed the news also stating that he set to join Zee TV as Business Head.

Hejmadi joined TAM in 2005, where he was responsible for revenue generation, client management, new business development & new product development.

Speaking on this occasion, L. V. Krishnan, CEO, TAM Media Research said, "It was nice having Praddy with TAM for almost a decade. The journey we crafted together as a team that included the rest of TAM unit heads was pioneering and heralded a new era of work in areas like S-Group, AdEx products, News Track and TAM Sports. As he steps into a new shoe to handle a new portfolio in one of TAM prestigious client's organization, we wish him the very best. The younger team of S-group that he had groomed over these years has stepped in to take the responsibilities of S-Group, Client Service and Marketing into future."

Hejmadi said, "Working with TAM and the team members in each unit was a lifetime experience. The decade was full of opportunities with proactive initiatives in Client Servicing, new product development and innovation undertaken by the team during my tenure. I leave TAM with a sense of pride for not only contributing to TAM's achievements but also in a way, changing the working dynamics of the TV industry."

Prior to TAM, Hejmadi was Director - Business and Operations, Nickelodeon India, where he led a multi-function team (production, marketing, on-air presentation, advertising sales & distribution) and set performance metrics to ground the foundation for Nickelodeon in India. Before that, he was Director, Research, Turner Broadcasting and Director, Research and Planning, Discovery Communications Inc.

A science graduate in Physics from Wilson College, Mumbai, Hejmadi has over 18 years of experience in the Indian media industry spanning across Media Sales, Media Planning & Buying, Consumer Research, Business Planning & Product Development, Hejmadi has spearheaded and successfully launched innovative and first-in-class profit-bearing initiatives in the Indian media marketplace.
