Publisher ABBY Awards 2024: ABP adjudged Publisher of The Year

Rounding up the proceedings on Day 1 of Goafest 2024 was the declaration of the Publisher ABBYs winners. The Abby Awards 2024 powered by One Show continues to set new benchmarks. This year, the awards have attracted a staggering 3,506 entries from 273 companies, for the Creative and Media ABBY.

Publisher ABBYs saw a total of 20 metals being awarded, which included:

  • 2 Golds
  • 6 Silvers
  • 6 Bronzes
  • 6 Merits

ABP Pvt Ltd was adjudged Publisher of The Year, garnering total points of 28 and winning 5 metals, which included – 1 Gold, 2 Silvers, and 2 Bronzes. ABP won the Gold for Cadbury Dairy Milk for the campaign titled ‘Cadbury Gaane Mishti Folk Fusion’.

Placed in the second spot was The Hindu Group, which secured 17 points and took home 5 metals. The Hindu Group’s metals tally included – 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 3 Merits. The group won the Gold for The Hindu for the campaign titled ‘Cadbury Iniya Kondattam (Sweet Celebration)’.

The other winners in Publisher ABBYs included:

  • Jagran Prakashan Ltd – 2 Bronzes and 2 Merits
  • Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd – 3 Silvers
  • HT Media Limited – 1 Bronze
  • Rediffusion Brand Solutions Pvt Ltd – 1 Bronze and 1 Merit

A significant highlight of the 2024 edition, the introduction of three new age categories – Digital, Mobile, and Technology, has collectively garnered 626 entries from 75 companies. Additionally, responding to industry demands, the inclusion of the health category and new sub-categories in trending subjects like AI, Virtual Reality, and Sustainable Practices has further demonstrated the awards’ commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and demands.

The judging process, a cornerstone of the Abby Awards 2024 powered by One Show’s integrity, was adjudged by an esteemed panel of 23 Jury Chairs and 204 jurors across 23 categories.
