Roadies Season 9 to travel to United States of America
The Season 9 journey kicks- off from the city of Jaipur, moves on to New Delhi and then enroute to America as they make pit stops at San Francisco for a baseball task, to the Death Valley of California where the contestants will have a Man vs Wild survival task and then to Las Vegas where the contestants battle out with the strongest man of the world. Each of the tasks is designed in view of the place they are headed to which will bring out a different and unique side of America, unlike ever seen before.
Aditya Swamy, EVP and Business Head, MTV India says, "The Roadies sensation only gets bigger and in this 9th season, we hit America, a first for any show from India. With a huge following on TV and the biggest social media footprint in the world, an action packed season that promises EVERYTHING OR NOTHING is ready to burn down your screens."
Raghu Ram further explains, "This year we have a lot of surprise elements in store for our contestants on MTV Hero Roadies Season 9- Everything or Nothing. Also travelling to America and executing various breath-taking tasks on the terrains of the new world has its own excitement and thrill. In keeping with "Everything or Nothing", the game has been raised to unprecedented levels. The tasks get tougher each year but this time, surviving it will become the toughest task."
This year the thrill 'seekers who have earned themselves the most desirable title of becoming a Roadie are- Abhishek Shetty from Mangalore, Himani Sharma from Punjab, Vinay Abhishek from Hyderabad, Vikas from Delhi, Anirudha Sharma from Nagpur, Kanak Raju from Delhi, Arsh Shearif from Bhopal, Taranjeet from Mumbai, Khusbhu from Delhi, Dimpy from Delhi, Manali from Kolkata, Diyali from Lucknow and Pratima from Chandigarh. The contestants will go through tasks, tougher than before, and that will require a lot of mental and physical strength.
Continuing the trend from last year when India's Olympic Medalist Vijender Singh made an appearance to challenge the contestants, this time too MTV Hero Roadies will host 2012 Commonwealth Gold medalist Sushil Kumar and Deepa Malik who has found a place in the Limca Book of Records for the third time, for becoming the first paraplegic woman to reach world's motorable road on the show. They join in on the show to give the contestants that extra dose of self-belief that everything can be achieved regardless of the hurdles that may confront them.
