Sonal Kabi appointed Director & Head of Marketing at Amazon Prime Video

Sonal Kabi has taken on the role of Director and Head of Marketing at Amazon Prime Video. She shared the news on LinkedIn, marking her return to the company.

Before this, Sonal Kabi held the position of Director of Marketing at Netflix for more than a year. During her time at Netflix, Kabi spearheaded campaigns for titles like Chamkila, The Railway Men, The Great Indian Kapil Show, Heeramandi, among others.

In her earlier roles, Kabi has been associated with companies such as McDonald’s, Shuttl, Leo Burnett and Star TV Network,

In her LinkedIn post, she reflected on her experience, stating, "I’ve recently rejoined Amazon. Many have asked me about the difference, and though I’m no expert, I’d say Netflix is like the Olympics of streaming, while Amazon feels more like the World Cup—it all depends on where you are in your career and the skills you want to develop. The key factor at both companies has always been the people I worked with—they made all the difference."

Kabi also mentioned her goals in her new position as Chief Marketing Officer for Amazon Prime Video India, expressing her desire to combine the strengths of both organizations and to promote innovative thinking, adding, "It’s always Day 1."
