Texas summons Tiktok for violation of children's privacy

TikTok has been sued by Texas which accused the former for the violation of privacy of children and  the state law. This is given the fact that the personal information or identifiers of children have been shared with no consent from their parents by TikTok

A directive is sought by the lawsuit that has been filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Up to $10,000 civic penalties have to be paid for violating  the SCOPE Act or the Securing Children Online through Parental Empowerment Act of the state.
