TV this week: SONY inching closer, giving tough fight to Star Plus for No.1 position

Star Plus, despite a marginal loss (3 GRPs) continues to rule the Hindi GEC space registering 289 GRP and 22.8 % channel share. Week 39 of TAM did not have much addition of GRP's on the charts for most of the Hindi GEC forerunners. Inching closer to the top, Sony Entertainment Television, a consistent performer, sticks to No. 2 position for sixth consecutive week with 270 GRP and 21.3 % C.S.

Holding onto their No. 3 and 4 positions, Colors and Zee TV recorded 211 and 176 GRP's respectively. Dwindling down the ladder are SAB TV with 123 GRP and Imagine TV with 78 GRP.

Interestingly, 2 of the top 5 television programs of this week come from Sony Entertainments kitty! Saathiya Saath Nibhana comes first with 5.63 TVR, with minuscule difference and 5.6 TVR, KBC comes on the second position.
