TV this week: Zee TV gains significantly in week 40!
Among Hindi General Entertainment Channels (GECs) Star Plus, Zee TV and SAB are ruling as per TAM ratings for the Week 40 . Though Sony is up by three points a substantial gain is noticeable especially in Zee TV.
Star Plus continues to reign at the no. 1 position and this week they have garnered six more points leading to 274 GRPs in comparison to last weeks 268 GRPs.
In second place is Viacom18's Colors who are stable with a constant 233 GRPs. Zee TV presently in the third position witnesses a significant increase. They have garnered 14 points to reach 231 GRPs from last weeks 217 GRPs.
Sony TV in the fourth position is at 205 GRPs and are up by three points Last week they registered 202 GRPs. SAB TV in week 39 had dipped to 122 points but this week they have garnered six points to be at 128 GRPs. With this they are now in the fifth position.
At no. 6 is Life Ok. Week 40 sees them down by 3 points registering 121 GRPs, as against last week's 124 GRPs. Sahara One has dipped to 33 GRPs from last week’s 34 GRPs .This brings them to the seventh position.
In the eighth place is STAR Utsav. This channel too has dipped by one point this week and registered 30 GRPs, as against 31 GRPs of week 39.
Among the 10 most watched programmes Diya Aur Baati Hum of Star Plus takes the lead. This programme has clocked a TVR of 5.1 this week .Last week they had 6.7 TVRs . Sony's Kaun Banega Crorepati follows in the second position with 4.3 TVRs (3.5 TVRs in the last week).
Saathiya Saath Nibhana of Star TV is in the third position with a rating of 3.9 TVRs. They had an average of 3.7 TVRs the last week.
In the fourth place is Balika Vadhu of Colors and this programme has acquired 3.6 TVRs (4.1 TVRs in the last week). Followed by the channel’s India's Got Talent which has garnered 3.5 TVRs as against 3.1 TVRs in the last week.
This week CID and Bade Acche Lagte Hain from Sony share the sixth spot with 3.3 TVRs each. CID last week garnered 2.9 TVRs and Bade Acche Lagte Hain had an average of 3.7 TVRs last week
At number eight is Star's Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon with 3.2 TVRs as against 3.0 TVRs in the last week.
Punarvivah and Pavitra Rishta both offerings from Zee TV are in the ninth position with 3.1 TVRs each. The former garnered 2.5 TVRs and the latter 2.6 TVRs last week.
