Weekend Exclusive | Anaamika's Rano aka Annie Gill: Up, close and Personal!

Annie Gill, a young television actress, made her foray in the small screen with the adventurous game show, Zor Ka Jhatka and was also seen in Khatron k Khiladi. Annie Gill is currently seen in Sony Television’s latest offering; Anamika which is a new Love story involving a simple love triangle concept. Annie Gill is the female protagonist in the show, the lead Raano. Mudit Nayar(Jeet) is her co-star in Anamika. The story revolves around jeet and Raano focusing their friendship and love.

Adgully caught up with Annie gill during the launch of the show, Anamika to know more about her plans ahead.

When asked about her short journey in the small screen, she said, “no doubt I have just entered this field but I am truly in love in that. I love doing what I am and this industry has too much to be in love with.”

When asked about her latest show, Annie said, “The story is a love story on the larger side with a supernatural twist in it. It’s about ‘buri Nazar’ and actually this is my first daily show, I am very much loving the way the story is going.” When asked what made her say yes to this show and role , she said, “Well, I was getting a lead role (laughs) so obviously didn’t wanted to leave that chance and secondly it’s about young bubbly Punjabi girl who loves her best friend, jeet. So the freshness and reality of the concept made me say yes for the show.”

Annie loves and admires Kajol and believes she is the true actress in this industry. She says, “I love watching kajol’s films and I can really watch anytime and many time. She is just so wonderful.”

Though Annie has done reality shows as well but she loves being in the daily soap industry and believes that big screen is not the only option in acting. If get a chance she would love and prefer to be in the smalls screen. When asked about the challenges, she said, “I did not face any challenges as such. There is so much to learn in this industry and my fellow actors in the show are veterans in the industry and so they teach me a lot and I am always ready to grasp more and more teachings.” When free Annie loves playing and kidding around with her friends and good music is her all time favorite.
