Amazon unveils Sponsored TV to revolutionize OTT ad accessibility
Girish Prabhu, head of advertising for Amazon India, has revealed the upcoming launch of "Sponsored TV'. It is an innovative ad platform which is slated for 2025. This platform is designed to help businesses of any size showcase their advertisements on OTT services like MX Player.
Sponsored TV focuses on making high-quality video advertising accessible to all, offering a straightforward self-service tool that caters to both small vendors and large enterprises. It offers scalability and user-friendly features, allowing businesses to manage campaigns independently or through certified partners.
Amazon has also introduced AI-powered tools to streamline ad production, including an Image Generator and Video Generator launched in September. These tools allow advertisers to create customized visuals and videos in seconds, cutting costs and simplifying the creative process.
For example, the Video Generator can analyze a product’s details and user reviews to produce tailored promotional content instantly.
Amazon Ads rolled out the Seller Ads Wallet, a prepaid option to prevent disruptions caused by payment delays. Sponsored TV expands these innovations to OTT platforms, enabling businesses to showcase ads shows with significant viewer engagement.
