Vicky Kaushal – Always on high josh for Bollywood and brands

From minor roles in lesser known movies to lead roles in mega hits like ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’ and bagging the National Award for Best Actor, along with several Filmfare Awards accolades – Vicky Kaushal is a multi-faceted actor who refuses to be clubbed into one particular category.

Vicky’s journey into the film world was humble – he started off as an assistant director to Anurag Kashyap for his action film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. Vicky played minor roles before bagging his first film as independent lead – ‘Masaan’. Though the film was critically acclaimed, it was not a commercial success. The movie ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ saw Vicky in a dark role. He also played the supporting actor in films like ‘Sanju’ and ‘Raazi’.

However, it was the action-packed military drama – ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ – that propelled Vicky to superstardom. Who can forget him roar – “How’s the Josh?”. In fact, this became a national phrase for quite some time, used even by Prime Minister Modi. The movie fetched him the National Award for Best Actor (which he shared with Ayushmann Khurrana for ‘Andhadhun’). Vicky went on to star in a diverse genre of films – ‘Sardar Udham’, ‘Govinda Mera Naam’, ‘Zara Katke Zara Bachke’, ‘Sam Bahadur’, ‘Dunki’, and more.

In 2021, he got married to actress Katrina Kaif. Both have considerable following on social media and constitute one of Bollywood’s power couples.
