Zepto to launch standalone app for Zepto Cafe

Zepto, the quick-commerce platform, has announced plans to launch a dedicated mobile application for its food delivery service, Zepto Cafe. The app will be available for both Android and iOS users, marking a key move to expand its food delivery segment.

Although customers will still be able to place orders through the main Zepto app, the decision to introduce a standalone app stems from growing demand and the potential for a more focused user experience. This strategic step is aimed at capturing a significant advantage in consumer recall, while also enhancing the economics of the business.

Zepto Cafe is already processing around 30,000 orders daily and is set to launch over 100 cafes across six major cities. The app will initially launch as a minimum viable product (MVP), with continuous updates expected to improve the user experience over time.

As the quick-commerce industry becomes increasingly competitive, with major e-commerce players entering the space, Zepto's move to develop a separate app reflects its focus on strengthening its presence in the food delivery market. The company is committed to expanding and refining its services as it seeks to become a leader in the fast-paced industry.
