Mayank Dayal joins Gujarat Titans as the Head of Marketing

Gujarat Titans have appointed Mayank Dayal as their new Head of Marketing ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing the franchise’s marketing strategies, fan engagement initiatives, digital presence, and brand partnerships.

Sharing his excitement about the new role, Dayal took to LinkedIn, stating,"After nearly seven incredible years, my journey at Sony Sports Network has come to an end. It’s impossible to sum up this chapter in just a few lines—so much learning, so many unforgettable moments, and an ocean of friendships that I will always cherish."

He expressed his gratitude to Rajesh Kaul, Neville Bastawalla, and Vaibhav Chib, acknowledging their mentorship and support.

"To Neville Bastawalla and Vaibhav Chib, thank you for your support, leadership, and for making the ride so fulfilling. To every friend, colleague, and teammate I’ve worked with—thank you for making this journey not just meaningful, but fun. Sony Sports Network has been more than just a workplace; it’s been a home where I grew, both professionally and personally."

As he embarks on a new journey, he added, "But as one chapter closes, another one begins. I’m beyond excited to step into my next adventure—leading marketing for Gujarat Titans. This isn’t just a role for me; it’s a dream opportunity. To be at the heart of the business side of sport, in a sport I have loved and played, is an exhilarating challenge. And in cricket, there is no bigger stage than the IPL."

Dayal brings extensive experience in sports marketing, having previously worked at Sony Sports Network for seven years. During his tenure, he played a key role in the marketing efforts for various high-profile sporting properties, including WWE, UEFA Champions League, Australian Open, Tokyo Olympics, and major cricket tournaments. His contributions helped enhance audience engagement and brand visibility across multiple platforms.

Before joining Sony Sports Network, he was associated with DDB Mudra Group, where he worked on brand strategy and advertising campaigns for leading clients across different industries. His expertise in marketing, consumer engagement, and brand-building will be valuable in his new role at Gujarat Titans.

Gujarat Titans, who won the IPL title in their debut season in 2022, have quickly established themselves as a competitive team in the league. With a strong focus on strategic marketing and fan outreach, the franchise aims to strengthen its presence and engagement with its growing fanbase.

With Dayal’s appointment, Gujarat Titans will look to expand their marketing initiatives and enhance their brand presence as they prepare for the upcoming IPL season.
