PM NaMo Turns 74: Celebrating a Visionary Leader's Journey!
Narendra Damodardas Modi, was born on September 17, 1950, in the quaint town of Vadnagar, Gujarat. His journey into the political arena began in 1971 with his participation in a Jana Sangh Satyagraha in Delhi, led by the esteemed Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Modi’s commitment to the cause even led to his brief imprisonment in Tihar Jail. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Delhi University in 1978, followed by a Master’s degree in the same field from Gujarat University.
In October 2001, Modi ascended to the role of Chief Minister of Gujarat, stepping in for Keshubhai Patel due to the latter’s declining health. His tenure as CM, marked by the challenging period of the 2002 Godhra riots, spanned approximately 12.5 years before he transitioned to national politics, stepping down to run for the position of Prime Minister.
Today, as we celebrate his birthday, Prime Minister Modi continues to make waves with his innovative initiatives. His recent introduction of the National Creators Award underscores his support for independent content creators, celebrating their unique contributions. In Odisha, schools are enjoying a holiday in honor of the occasion as the Prime Minister inaugurates the Subhadra Yojana in Bhubaneswar.
