Volkswagen extends creative partnership with Omnicom & DDB
Volkswagen has renewed its longstanding creative partnership with Omnicom’s DDB for another three years. The iconic duo has been collaborating for over six decades, producing some of the automotive industry's most memorable campaigns, including the legendary "Think Small" and "Lemon" ads for the VW Beetle.
The expanded partnership will see a closer integration of Omnicom’s resources, including precision marketing capabilities and media planning through PHD, to support Volkswagen’s evolving marketing needs. The goal is to enhance the customer experience and production processes while maintaining the brand’s core identity.

Omnicom CEO John Wren highlighted the strength of the long-term relationship and the company’s ability to adapt to Volkswagen’s changing needs. “Our ability to prove to an existing client that, after many years, we are the right partner in their transformation is a clear demonstration of our ability to build strong long-term relationships,” he said.
The newly formed integrated global leadership team will be based in Berlin and will leverage Omnicom’s talent worldwide.
While the partnership has been extended without a formal pitch, DDB’s Glen Lomas will continue to lead the account. PHD, which retained Volkswagen Group’s global media account earlier this year, will also integrate with Omnicom’s global team.
Volkswagen’s other creative agencies, Ogilvy and Grabarz & Partner, will continue to contribute to the brand’s marketing efforts.
