Swiggy expands ‘Bolt’ 10-minute delivery to 400+ cities

Swiggy Ltd, India’s leading on-demand convenience platform, has announced the nationwide expansion of its revolutionary 10-minute food delivery service, Bolt, to over 400 cities and towns.

Initially launched in six key cities — Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune — Bolt now operates in emerging hubs such as Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Coimbatore, as well as Tier 2 and 3 cities like Guntur, Warangal, Patna, Nashik, Shillong, and more. With over 40,000 participating restaurants, including popular names like KFC, McDonald’s, and Starbucks, Bolt caters to a wide audience with a diverse menu of over 10 lakh items.

Bolt’s innovative delivery model is designed to ensure freshness and quality. Operating within a 2 km radius, it prioritizes dishes requiring minimal preparation time or ready-to-pack items, such as snacks, bakery products, beverages, breakfast dishes, and desserts. Some examples include biryani, ice creams, and burgers, ensuring swift delivery without compromising taste.

Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy’s Food Marketplace, highlighted the value Bolt brings: "Bolt is changing the way customers experience food delivery. For the first time, meals arrive warm, ice creams stay frozen, and fries remain crispy. With the overwhelming love from customers and support from restaurants, expanding Bolt to more cities was a natural next step."

Swiggy ensures delivery partner safety by not distinguishing between Bolt and regular orders during delivery assignments. Additionally, there are no incentives tied to faster delivery speeds, maintaining a safe and efficient ecosystem.

Strategic partnerships with local and national restaurants enable Bolt to offer customer favorites, such as:

  • Local Icons: Gwalia Sweets in Ahmedabad, Shiraz in Kolkata, Karachi Bakery in Hyderabad, and MM Mithaiwala in Mumbai.
  • Global Chains: Starbucks, Baskin Robbins, Burger King, and Chaayos.
  • Regional Favorites: Varalakshmi Tiffins in Guntur and Baap of Rolls in Roorkee.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have emerged as top regions adopting Bolt, followed by Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and West Bengal. The service is meeting growing demand in urban centers and smaller towns alike, making it a key

The ‘Bolt - Food in 10 Minutes’ feature is prominently displayed on Swiggy’s app, ensuring customers can quickly find and enjoy the service.
